“The first time that I stepped into the Bell-Clemmons House, I knew that I was home.” -Bev Holm
Although Bev moved to Southport from Minnesota, North Carolina has always been home. After spending many years visiting West Jefferson, NC (near Boone) and living in Lake Norman (Charlotte area), she commented “I can’t think of any part of North Carolina that I haven’t enjoyed visiting or living.”
Bev shared that God has sent her to the Southport area numerous times. She quoted one of her favorite verses, Roman’s 15:13 as her inspiration for moving to Southport: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
From the very beginning Bev felt that Southport was “her home away from home.” Like many people, she feels that Southport is both quaint and charmingly small, full of friendly people (both residents and visitors)
The Bell-Clemmons House B&B is a real blessing with many amazing guests who continue to return. The most rewarding aspect of owning a bed and breakfast is growing a Bell-Clemmons “family” and lots of good friends. A tremendous thank you to those who have stayed at the Bell-Clemmons as well as future guests!
As the Resident Manager/Innkeeper, Bev is excited to be meeting all Bell-Clemmons’ guests and doing what she already loves: cooking, baking, sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair, gardening and more. Bev also looks forward getting to know folks in the community.
Please join us in a warm welcome and tremendous gratitude to Bev Holm, our new Resident Manager/Innkeeper of the Bell-Clemmons House B&B!
